This is a rain or shine event. Poker Run will only be canceled due to safety concerns posed by weather conditions. In the event the the Poker Run is canceled due to inclement weather, the Poker Run party will still go on uninterrupted barring any natural disasters. Registration is a non-refundable donation to the Emerald Coast Foundation.
The Emerald Isle Parrot Head Club, a local group that likes to "party with a purpose", held its annual Beach Bike Poker Run on May 20, and raised a total of approximately $11,600 for Semper Fi Odyssey Children's Adventure Camp that serves children of injured and wounded service members. Success in Poker Run educates all - lejeune.marines.mil Motorcyclists from Camp Lejeune and Marine Corps Air Station New River gathered in the annex parking lot while riders from Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point met up at their base’s rally point. The event was a day-long ride, taking participants through Camp Lejeune and Cherry Point installations as well as three points throughout Emerald Isle.
